Antique Art Deco bee brooch crafted in 18k yellow gold, circa 1930s. The body is set with a cream Akoya pearl (5.5–5.6 mm) displaying good luster and light blemishing, with a round cabochon garnet (1.32 ct) forming the head. The wings feature a pear-shaped cabochon mother-of-pearl, while the body and accents are decorated with 22 turquoise cabochons (1.54 ctw) and 13 bezel-set rubies (0.90 ctw), heated. Additional sparkle is provided by three rose-cut diamonds (0.04 ctw), estimated I–J color and I1 clarity. The brooch measures approximately 46.8 mm x 26.8 mm, weighs 7.87 dwt, and is fitted with a straight pin and tube catch consistent with the period. A colorful and whimsical figural jewel typical of imaginative 1930s Art Deco gemstone designs.
