A magnificent 8.02-carat pear cut aquamarine in a luminous light greenish blue is cradled within an organically sculpted wrapped shank of textured and polished gold that flows from one side of the stone, encircles it like unfurling leaves, and reconnects on the opposite side. The result is a deeply naturalistic, one-of-a-kind design of extraordinary presence and artistry. Circa 1980s–1990s, in very good condition.
