One stamped & tested 14KT yellow gold lady's hand assembled vintage gemstone necklace with a spring ring clasp with a polished finish. The necklace id Circa 1950's. The necklace is designed as 5 carved natural Amethyst Oval shaped slabs. The stones are carved in a fruit motif of either Peaches or Plums, both symbols of longevity. The Amethyst slabs are mounted in hand cut flat frames with 6 prongs, spaced to fit into the edges of the stones. The carved slabs measure from 27.7 mm X 19.9 mm to 31.3 mm X 21.6 mm. The carved Amethyst segments range in color from a deep Purple to a light Violet within each carving. The necklace measures 16 1/2" long. The Amethyst sections, as well as the arms of the necklace are connected by articulated "Infinity" knots with a die struck flower trim piece applied to their centers. Identified with markings of "14K". Condition is excellent.
