Die-struck and assembled in rich 14K yellow gold, the ring features two curved oval plates—one measuring 27.14mm x 17.48mm and the other 22.65mm x 14.9mm—separated by four delicate spacers. The ring’s unique flat shank flows seamlessly beneath the larger plate, where it bears a hallmark from Vienna, Austria (circa 1925–1938), as well as the maker’s mark FR and a "585" gold purity stamp.
At the center lies a vivid oval-cut natural amethyst, bezel-set in an applied mounting. The amethyst—measuring approximately 12.20 x 8.75 x 5.89mm—displays a medium-dark, moderately strong purple hue with slight inclusions, weighing an impressive 3.51 carats. The cut is very good, and the stone is assumed to be heat-treated.
