One electronically tested 10-14kt yellow gold lady’s hand fabricated antique diamond brooch with an original finish. Condition is like new. The diamond brooch is circa 1837-1901, the Victorian period. The piece measures 61mm long and 12.3mm top to bottom trefoil points. The brooch is designed as a bar, with terminal trefoil points, suspending an applied scroll work and Acanthus Leaf framework. The main bar has 5 cushion shaped old mine cut diamonds, set in 8-prong buttercup style mountings so that they are articulated and have an “En Tremblant” effect. The diamonds are separated by 4 applied hourglass shaped lozenges with black enamel detail. The Acanthus leaves have hand engraving and textured details. The brooch has it’s original simple “C” round wire clasp with a curved shield styling. The brooch was “XRF” tested as 12K gold. Containing:
