Estate 18K Y Gold Victorian 1.16ctw Garnet Dangle Earrings

One pair stamped & tested 18KT yellow gold lady's combination cast & die struck antique gemstone earrings with ear wires with a oxidized finish. The dangle earrings are Circa 1837-1901, the Victorian period. The convertable earrings consist of a lower dangle section which is removable from the top 5-petal top section. The hollow lower section is constructed from 2 die stamped halves, and measures 40.0 mm long, 13.44 mm wide, and 9.72 mm deep including the Rose cut Garnets set in cast Silver bezel trim pieces on the fount surface. The 5-petal flower top sections measure 10.79 mm in diameter with the Rose cut Garnets set in fluted bezel mountings. The ear wires are hinged in the rear and snap onto the top of the flower design. The earrings have not been cleaned or polished to preserve the original patina. Trademark is CM. Identified with markings of "18K". Condition is like new.

Twelve bezel set pear modified mixed cut natural pyrope garnets, measuring 4.25 x 2.45 x 0.80mm, (depth est.) approximate total weight of 0.72ct., clarity is slightly included, dark, moderately strong, red color, (GIA R 7/4), cut is very good.

Two bezel set round modified mixed cut natural pyrope garnets, measuring 2.30 - 2.30 x 0.75 mm, (depth est.) approximate total weight of 0.06ct., clarity is slightly included, dark, moderately strong, red color, (GIA R 7/4), cut is very good.
