Estate 18K Y Gold 12.76ct Opal & 0.32ctw G-H/VS2-Si1 Diamond Ring

One stamped & tested 18KT yellow gold lady's hand fabricated gemstone and diamond fashion ring with a split shank with a bright polish finish. The Opal and Diamond ring is Circa 1935-1950's, the Retro period. The ring shank is a casting onto which a wire armature has been hand assembled to support the Opal Cabochon and the Round Brilliant cut Diamonds. The Opal is set in a 4-prong mounting, while the Diamonds are set in a row of 3-prong mountings at the top of the ring shank. The ring shank measures 5.6 mm under the Diamond settings and tapers to 2.38 mm at the bottom. The ring is size 10 1/4. Identified with markings of "18K". Condition is like new.
Containing:

One white opal that is cut in a oval shaped cabochon and is prong set, measuring 25.56 mm long x 15.86 mm wide, and 5.05 mm thick and the approximate weight is 12.76 carats. The opal has a somewhat bright, green-blue play of color (fire) in a flashfire pattern; a medium dome; a very good cut; no inclusions; consistent in its brightness and pattern; and is slightly directional.

Ten prong set round brilliant cut diamonds approximate total weight of 10 Stones = 0.32ct.
