Estate 14K Y Gold 2.02ct White Opal & 0.43ctw I/SI2 Diamond Ring

One electronically tested 14KT yellow with rhodium plating gold lady's cast gemstone and diamond fashion ring with a split shank with a polished finish. The ring is centered by an Oval Cabochon cut Opal surrounded by 16 Round Brilliant cut Diamonds. The Opal is set in a 4-prong mounting, with the Diamonds set in 2-prong mountings. All the mountings are Rhodium plated to highlight the stones. The ring top measures 15.65 mm X 14.18 mm. The 3 wire ribbed split shoulders measures 5 35 mm wide with the shank tapering to 3.17 mm. The ring is size 8 1/2. Condition is excellent.

One jelly opal that is cut in a oval shaped cabochon and is prong set, measuring 10.89 mm long x 9.49 mm wide, and 3.13 mm thick and the approximate weight is 2.02 carats. The opal has a somewhat bright, orange-green play of color (fire) in a broad flashfire pattern; a medium dome; a good cut; no inclusions; consistent in its brightness and pattern; and is very directional.

Sixteen prong set round brilliant cut diamonds approximate total weight of 16 Stones = 0.43ct.
